Job Title: Processing Supervisor

The Processing Supervisor is a key role within our manufacturing operations, responsible for planning and scheduling activities to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensuring the efficient operation of our production lines. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to analyze processes and equipment to identify areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate resources and oversee the execution of work area objectives to meet production requirements.
  • Troubleshoot process equipment and identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate packaging supply requirements with the Warehouse team.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external procedures and regulations.
  • Execute capital and facility improvements to enhance production efficiency.
People Management:
  • Educate and train employees on safety, quality, value, and cost principles.
  • Plan and schedule employees to meet performance requirements.
  • Identify and implement role-focused training, employee development, and performance management.
Financial Management:
  • Coordinate resources and control resource costs in line with the operating budget.
  • Assign daily proper cost center placement of labor in the time and attendance system.
  • Provide input to the operating budget and track assigned area actuals to budget.
Strategic Planning:
  • Identify and recommend continuous improvement actions and opportunities.
  • Monitor work results against department goals and analyze processes, equipment, and performance trends.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility, with experience working under OSHA parameters and high-quality orientation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to give direction and provide leadership to a team.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment in decision-making.
  • Ability to climb and work at heights in excess of 100 feet, with the strength and ability to lift and handle objects weighing 50 lbs.
  • Good eyesight and hearing, with the ability to speak loudly and clearly enough to be heard over normal plant background noise.
  • Knowledge and use of all company software applications and automated systems.
  • Able to respond to emergency call-outs and work unscheduled shifts and weekends with minimum notice.

Work Variables:

  • Work scheduled shifts, which may be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
  • Respond to emergency call-outs.
  • Work unscheduled shifts and weekends with minimum notice to cover for absent personnel and accommodate fluctuating manufacturing requirements.
  • High exposure to noise and seasonal, moderate exposure to heat/cold.
