KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, configure, manage, and sustain the Engineering Applications throughout the organization.
  • Establish operational goals by analyzing business functions, collecting data, and assessing output requirements and formats.
  • Engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to comprehend intricate business process requirements and convert them into functional and technical application, data, and reporting specifications.
  • Collect business and system requirements through interviews and examination of existing systems, reports, and data.
  • Define project specifications by identifying project milestones, phases, and components, assembling project teams, and setting project budgets.
  • Support and/or lead project initiatives as directed by management, including task execution, updating project timelines with status, and reporting challenges.
  • Track project advancement by monitoring activities, resolving issues, disseminating progress reports, and suggesting actions.
  • Provide expert functional advice, including configuration assessments and setup, functional troubleshooting, setup modifications, and data analysis.
  • Create essential project documentation, including functional specifications, configuration records, user acceptance plans, and deployment instructions.
  • Assist in defining data models that effectively integrate reporting data from relevant enterprise systems.
  • Facilitate system modifications (including updates) in accordance with change control protocols and aid in the evolution of departmental processes.
  • Possess knowledge of API functionalities for integrating Engineering applications with other system tools.
  • Take responsibility for issues by conducting problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent solutions aimed at restoring service to the user promptly; escalate incidents to other support teams when necessary.
  • Demonstrate the ability to produce documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), instructional guides, and process training materials.
  • Contribute to fostering a positive team environment and a collaborative culture while embodying the Team Values consistently.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned by the IT Leadership team.
  • Enhance professional and technical knowledge by participating in educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, building personal networks, benchmarking best practices, and engaging in professional organizations.
  • Support team objectives by achieving related outcomes as required.

Specific Knowledge of PTC Windchill (11.1 or later) / ThingWorx systems includes:

  • In-depth understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) and Internet of Things (IoT) principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of Citrix Desktop as a Service (DAAS) and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) concepts and best practices.
