We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at US Health Services. As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic/analytic testing of patient specimens in one or more sections of the laboratory.
- Interpret, document, and report test results in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform quality control testing, instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal laboratory performance.
- Comply with good laboratory practice and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Participate in projects as assigned and serve as a resource to laboratory staff and other clinical staff as needed.
- Associate's degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology.
- Or, on or before 4/24/1995, be a high school graduate or equivalent and have successfully completed an official U.S. military medical laboratory training course and have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician).
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or by the American Medical Technologists (AMT). Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire. State licensure if required by law.
