Job Title: Center Medical Director

Concentra is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Center Medical Director to lead our medical team at our Compton, CA location.

Job Summary:

The Center Medical Director will be responsible for overseeing the medical operations of our center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and accountable occupational healthcare services to our patients and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care and lead by example to create an exceptional patient experience.
  • Collaborate with therapists and specialists to drive optimal clinical outcomes and case closure.
  • Monitor key clinical center metrics and ensure compliance with Concentra policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Manage clinicians and support staff, and comply with APC supervisory requirements.
  • Develop and implement changes to ensure continuous clinical improvement.
  • Master the use of clinical systems to ensure efficiency, excellent documentation, and optimal coding levels.
  • Ensure compliance with individual State Practice Act/Rules and Regulations/WC Regulations.
  • Drive patient and client experience metrics.
  • Communicate with employers on all new injuries and other significant clinical changes.
  • Participate in CLT meetings to improve quality, patient safety, and outlier management.
  • Maintain and cultivate relationships with center clients and payers.
  • Work with DMO and CLT to manage clinical and support staffing levels and proficiencies.
  • Promote Orange Book values and develop colleague success through all aspects of the talent life cycle.
  • Foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to maximize employee morale and productivity.
  • Accountable for understanding and input on Center financial drivers and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited medical program with a M.D. or D.O.
  • Board certified by ABPM, ABFM, or medical board in the state where employed.
  • Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction.
  • ACLS Certified, preferred.
  • Five to eight years of experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or an emergency setting.

  • Ability to make decisions or solve problems using logic and propose quality solutions.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and ability to deal with people in a manner that shows tact and professionalism.
  • Ability to properly handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of occupational medicine requirements, clinical operations, OSHA, DOT, and medicine knowledge.
