Position Overview:
As a Project Architect, you will collaborate closely with principals and Project Managers to manage all stages of projects, from schematic design through construction administration, including necessary permits and plan checks.
This is a full-time exempt role with a schedule of 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday, offering a hybrid work environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
We provide comprehensive employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401k plan.
Salary Range: $110,000 - $134,000 per year, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for construction administration and consultant coordination.
- Lead the detailing and comprehensive documentation of selected project interiors and exteriors, working closely with the principals and project team.
- Generate outline specifications and schedules.
- Delegate tasks effectively to team members and manage deadlines for production, renderings, presentations, and research.
- Produce and oversee project schedules, work plans, client communications, and documentation.
- Ensure design and documentation adhere to Planning and Building Code compliance.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews of documents.
- Maintain best practices and uphold the studio's process and CAD standards.
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience in multi-family, high-end residential, and/or commercial projects.
- A degree in architecture.
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Technical knowledge of Type V construction, with experience in all design and construction phases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with a positive demeanor and the ability to take direction from clients.
- Experience mentoring junior staff and managing project documentation responsibilities.
- Strong modern design skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, V-Ray, 3D Max, and Enscape.
- 4-5 years of project management or team leadership experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Licensed architect in California or actively pursuing licensure.
