Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Henry Ford Health System. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing radiologic procedures to evaluate pathological entities and provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the examination.
  • Review clinical data and perform appropriate examinations, obtaining additional information as necessary.
  • Prepare procedure rooms and maintain stock levels of supplies.
  • Analyze anatomical structures, set up equipment, and perform radiologic procedures, utilizing patient immobilization as needed.
  • Select and administer intravenous contrast media, monitoring patients for possible reactions.
  • Perform imaging procedures while demonstrating radiation protection principles.
  • Prepare and set up sterile equipment, supplies, and monitors, following department infection control practices.
  • Complete necessary work sheets, logs, patient records, and documentation.
  • Assume teaching and educational responsibilities, maintaining one's own responsibilities and duties.
  • Resolve image exceptions and ensure high-quality image delivery into PACS.
  • Complete study indexing and confirm clinical protocols with radiologists.
  • Demonstrate team member standards of excellence, including AIDET, open communication, and a positive attitude.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
  • Maintain required hours of continued education.
  • Registered in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or registry eligible, with registry obtained within 6 months of date of hire.
  • Healthcare Provider certification required (BCLS).
