Northern Impact, a cherished family-operated bridal boutique, is seeking a Bridal Stylist. This establishment proudly showcases a nationally recognized bridal brand and has been a pioneer in offering a specialty curvy bridal line. Located in Schaumburg, Illinois, they are looking for a passionate individual to enhance their dedicated team. In this role, you will take charge of driving store sales while assisting the management team with daily operations. Your efforts will be crucial in achieving optimal sales and profit objectives through effective sales leadership and consistent operational excellence.

This role reports directly to the Company Directors and Management team, including the General Manager, Assistant Manager, and Operation & Marketing Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and embody an exemplary company image.
  • Achieve and surpass individual sales targets through personal and collaborative selling strategies.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by:
    • Welcoming customers in accordance with company standards.
    • Registering brides.
    • Engaging with brides/customers to ascertain their needs and assist them in finding their ideal dress for weddings, proms, or other special events.
    • Continuously educating oneself about products and staying updated on fashion trends.
    • Exhibiting product knowledge to articulate the features and benefits of merchandise.
    • Presenting dresses that align with the customer's desired style and budget.
    • Encouraging additional purchases by showcasing complementary merchandise.
    • Addressing objections and effectively closing sales.
    • Accompanying customers in and out of fitting rooms, showcasing additional items, and being attentive to their requirements.
    • Consistently demonstrating a professional and courteous demeanor in all customer interactions.
    • Following up with customers and keeping them informed about their merchandise status.
    • Sending appreciation notes to customers.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, fostering positive, team-oriented relationships and maintaining clear communication.
  • Safeguard store inventory and company assets by providing excellent customer service, adhering to loss prevention protocols, and promptly reporting any suspected policy violations to management.
  • Handle all store inventory and sample pieces with the utmost care and respect.
  • Merchandise the store by arranging fashion displays throughout the sales area in line with company guidelines.
  • Ensure the store's appearance is maintained by organizing merchandise and completing daily cleaning tasks.
  • Support store operations by accurately processing POS transactions and adhering to all policies and procedures.
  • Restock the store by unpacking and preparing new merchandise for display in a timely manner.
  • Enhance product knowledge through reading and listening to relevant information.
  • May be assigned specific duties by store management, including customer gown preparation, store organization, and cleanliness.
  • Perform light office tasks such as filing and labeling merchandise, as well as daily cleaning duties.
  • Each Sales Consultant is responsible for maintaining fitting rooms and sales areas, working collaboratively to keep the sales floor organized.
  • The Bridal Stylist will perform any other duties as reasonably requested by the Company and Store Management.
Working Requirements
  • Physical Agility: The role requires being on your feet and moving throughout the store during your entire shift.
  • Merchandise Preparation: The position involves light to moderate physical activity, including unpacking and preparing merchandise, which may involve handling heavy boxes and using small ladders.
  • Weekend Flexibility: Availability to work on weekends as required by the schedule is essential.
