We are seeking a Medical Assistant - PRN to join our team at Siouxland Community Health. This is a part-time position working approximately 3 hours per week on Thursday evenings from 5 to 8 pm.

The successful candidate will have solid experience and advanced knowledge of:

  • High School diploma or GED, certification preferred for MA
  • Medication Aide Certificate
  • Multi-Physician Family Practice experience preferred

They will also have experience with Electronic Medical / Health Records (EMR) and be current with BCLS and Mandatory Reporter certifications.

The primary functions of this position include:

  • Assisting the Provider team with one-on-one patient visits and flow in a fast-paced environment
  • Preparing patients and necessary instruments, equipment, and paperwork for clinical visits
  • Assisting with phlebotomy and administering vision and hearing exams
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Documenting in electronic medical records and practice management system
