About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tire & Battery Center Technician to join our team at Sam's Club. As a key member of our sales and service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our members receive the best possible experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a Team Player: Collaborate with colleagues to meet sales and service targets, educate and mentor new team members, and develop strong interpersonal skills to provide safe and efficient customer service.
  • Be an Expert: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality, as well as Point of Sale systems, phone, and in-person selling techniques.
  • Be a Technologist: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the service experience, and enhance associate engagement, utilizing handheld technology and systems to make informed business decisions related to services, safety alerts, new product information, product application, and training.
  • Be an Owner: Communicate equipment, tool, and supply needs to the TBC Lead, track and monitor returns and special orders, operate cash registers, process transactions, work hands-on in the physical area, maintain accurate inventory, audit, safety, and compliance standards, report TBC complaints, safety hazards, and problems with products, services, and work areas, complete paperwork, logs, and other required documentation, and ensure merchandise is packaged, labeled, and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Model high-quality service and products, develop, influence, and inspire others to work in a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented style, understand roadblocks, and assist in training team members.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carrying out tasks, communicating progress and information, determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly wage range of $17.00 to $24.00, as well as additional compensation in the form of premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Requirements
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Able to successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
