Position Overview

Odle Management – A subsidiary of Eckerd Connects is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Center Physician. This opportunity is a subcontracting position associated with the Turner Job Corps Center, which serves as a residential training facility.

Work Schedule: The role requires an average commitment of 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with flexibility in scheduling. This position can be filled by either a Physician or a Nurse Practitioner as independent contractors.

Compensation Structure: The salary range varies based on the employment type:

  • Nurse Practitioner: $75-$80/hour as a 1099 contractor
  • Physician: $135-$140/hour as a 1099 contractor
  • Full-time Physician: $165,000-$185,000 with a comprehensive benefits package for 30 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the medical director for the center's health initiatives
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nursing, mental health, oral health, and substance misuse professionals
  • Conduct thorough health assessments and physical examinations within 14 days of student entry
  • Review and update healthcare guidelines and personal authorizations on an annual basis
  • Ensure access to necessary prescription medications and age-appropriate immunizations as recommended by the CDC
  • Engage in monthly monitoring of students with chronic health conditions
  • Participate in the review of applicant medical histories
  • Hold monthly meetings with the center director and health staff

Required Qualifications:

  1. Active, unrestricted medical license in Georgia, with a preference for primary care specialties such as family medicine, pediatrics, or internal medicine; board certification is preferred
  2. Current DEA registration
  3. Resume demonstrating experience with young adults and adolescents
  4. Current CPR certification
  5. Consent to a background check to be coordinated post-interview
  6. Completed Scope of Work documentation

Insurance Requirements:

  1. General Liability Insurance with the center listed as an additional insured ($1,000,000 per occurrence, $3,000,000 aggregate)
  2. Automobile Liability Insurance with minimum coverage of $200,000 per person and $500,000 per occurrence for bodily injury, and $20,000 for property damage
