Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Sales Associate to join our team at one of our locations. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their meat needs, receiving deliveries, breaking down loads, rotating coolers, weighing, pricing, and labeling products, as well as maintaining high standards of sanitation and food safety.

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, making recommendations, and resolving issues in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Receive and process deliveries, including breaking down loads and rotating coolers to ensure product freshness and availability.
  • Weigh, price, and label products accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to high standards of sanitation and food safety.
  • Process cuts for service counter or special orders, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Hospitality, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods, as required by the job.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy in handling cash and operating point-of-sale systems.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
