Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Full-stack SAS Software Engineer to join our Enterprise Modernization team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for converting SAS programs from mainframe & server over to GCP for various application teams within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Converting SAS programs from mainframe & server over to GCP
  • Developing SAS programs in SAS Mainframe, SAS Linux, and SAS Viya (on GCP) platforms
  • Working in a collaborative environment that leverages paired programming, while working on a small agile team to deliver Enterprise Modernization of migrating data to GCP
  • Working effectively with fellow software engineers, product owners, data champions, and other technical experts
  • Demonstrating technical knowledge and communication skills with the ability to advocate for well-designed solutions

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of professional development and administration experience with SAS Viya 4.0 programming, SAS 9.4 programming on Linux and Mainframe platforms, Mainframe experience (JCL, COBOL, CA7, DB2), and Experience using Teradata
  • Experience writing Python and shell scripts on Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related scientific field of study

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Google Cloud Platform (especially BigQuery)
