Electromechanical Equipment Fabricator

We are seeking a highly skilled Electromechanical Equipment Fabricator to join our CBI Engineering team at Brooks Instrument. As an Engineering Support Technician, you will play a critical role in fabricating electro-mechanical equipment for test and calibration, supporting manufacturing technical issues, and collaborating with the Engineering team to troubleshoot and validate prototypes.
Key Responsibilities- Electromechanical Equipment Fabrication: Assemble, test, and validate prototypes and pilot builds, ensuring high-quality products that meet our stringent standards.
- Technical Support: Assist the Engineering team in troubleshooting and stress testing prototypes, collecting device data, and analyzing performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Design and Documentation: Design, fabricate, and document test fixtures, as well as develop manufacturing work instructions and train operators to ensure efficient production processes.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect fabricated parts using hand inspection tools, optical comparators, CMM, and digital microscope to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Software and Firmware: Download and update firmware on devices, use internal tools to retrieve dump files, and restore device configurations to ensure optimal performance.
- CAD Experience: Proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks, and experience with LabVIEW is a plus.
- Prototyping and Assembly: Proven experience in prototyping and assembling electro-mechanical products, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Troubleshooting and Testing: Excellent troubleshooting skills, with experience in using test and measurement tools like Power Supplies, Digital Multimeters, and Oscilloscopes.
- Communication and Teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow all safety procedures.
- Education and Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, with a High School Diploma or Technical Associate's degree required.
