Ingenium Partners LLC is collaborating with a prominent family-owned consumer goods organization to identify a skilled and proactive Logistics and Operations Supervisor. This individual will oversee the production, planning, and quality assurance at our Client's external manufacturing locations while managing logistics, shipping, and procurement at the primary warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following critical functions:

Production Management:

  • Collaborates with manufacturing partners to create production timelines or purchase orders for finished products to ensure inventory meets customer demands.
  • Conducts audits to confirm the quality of finished products supplied by external partners.
  • Negotiates pricing for both existing and new product lines.
  • Works alongside partners to enhance policies and efficiencies in production and inventory management.
  • Oversees inventory cycle counts of owned raw materials.
  • Manages the disposal process for rejected products or customer returns.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Ensures effective management of the warehouse supervisor and operations team.
  • Evaluates warehouse space and reallocates areas for finished goods as necessary in conjunction with the warehouse manager.
  • Maintains compliance with customer shipping requirements.
  • Collaborates with the warehouse manager on inventory oversight.
  • Oversees satellite warehouse operations.
  • Establishes and updates shipping and inventory protocols.
  • Engages with export clients regarding shipping needs and compliance documentation.

Procurement Responsibilities:

  • Develops and revises inventory purchasing guidelines.
  • Assesses supplier pricing, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Negotiates agreements with new suppliers.
  • Coordinates with partners on raw material needs to place and track purchase orders and deliveries.
  • Reviews receiving reports and inputs adjusted information into the ERP system.
  • Addresses discrepancies between receipts and invoices.
  • Organizes the disposal of excess inventory.

Key Collaborations:

The Logistics and Operations Supervisor will work closely with the Sales team to devise innovative shipping solutions and partner with Research & Development to prepare manufacturing, warehousing, and billing departments for new product introductions.

This role also provides guidance to Finance on inventory counts, pricing adjustments, and other financial implications related to products and their configurations, while collaborating with IT management and third-party support to generate reports and maintain warehouse computer systems.
