Job Description

Gjelina LV is seeking a skilled Dishwasher to join our team. As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, kitchen equipment, and food preparation equipment are washed and sanitized to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wash and sanitize all dishes, kitchen equipment, and food preparation equipment
  • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen, including the line, BOH prep areas, storage, and walk-in
  • Monitor the dishwashing machine to ensure proper operation and maintain it to the highest standards
  • Assist in cleaning the kitchen, including counters, sweeping, and mopping the floors
  • Ensure proper garbage and trash disposal and removal
  • Assist with kitchen preparation, if applicable

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience as a Dishwasher, preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekend shifts, and holidays
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Ability to work with speed and efficiency
  • Demonstrates integrity, trust, ethics, and values

Certifications and Training:

  • State-approved Prevention of Sexual Harassment Training/Certificate
  • Food Handler Card

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly stand and walk for long periods of time (8 to 10 hours per day)
  • Lift/carry/or move up to 30 pounds regularly, 40 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds occasionally
  • Work with restaurant equipment, including the dishwasher machine, pots, and pans

Work Environment:

  • Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with moderate noise levels
  • Work in a wet, hot/cold, slippery, or humid environment
