We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plumbing Leader to join our multi-disciplinary buildings engineering team in San Francisco. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing multidisciplinary projects, leading the delivery of high-quality work, building strong client relationships, and developing and mentoring our engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to the plumbing team, fostering a culture of quality, trust, and openness.
- Lead plumbing engineering design on projects, ensuring fulfillment of responsible charge responsibilities.
- Collaborate with clients to represent all disciplines of the firm, delivering high-quality engineering work to achieve internal project goals.
- Develop and maintain excellent client relationships, leading and supervising staff on various projects, including healthcare, rail, aviation, commercial, science, and industry.
- Attend client-facing and OAC meetings, participating in local Professional Associations, including ASPE.
- Participate in project pursuits, reviewing and preparing proposals or scoping documents.
- Foster a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and inclusiveness, coaching and assisting in skill development of individuals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
- 10 years or more of proven experience designing building HVAC systems, including airside and hydronic system components.
- Professional US Engineering License or equivalent US Certified accreditation for plumbing discipline.
- Experience leading project teams on medium to large-scale projects.
- The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work, and organize within our constantly evolving work environment.
- Experience with 3D BIM/CAD software, such as AutoCAD MEP or Revit MEP, or proficiency in mapping out the BIM process from a multi-disciplinary standpoint.
- Familiarity with the importance of clash detection, multi-disciplinary planning, and assessing the quality of a model using tools like Navisworks or BIM 360.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working.
- Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels.
