This is a dynamic and challenging position that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct Traffic Flow: Safely direct pedestrians across streets, stopping traffic as necessary to prevent accidents.
  • Communicate with the Public: Clearly communicate traffic and crossing rules to students, parents, and the general public.
  • Monitor Traffic Conditions: Observe and report any incidents or conditions that present a potential safety hazard to students or pedestrians.
  • Enforce Traffic Laws: Cautiously direct drivers of speeding vehicles and record license numbers of vehicles disregarding school zone speed limits.
  • Set Up and Remove Safety Equipment: Place and remove caution signs and cones to ensure safe pedestrian traffic flow.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good Moral Character: Must be of good moral character and reputation, with a background check required.
Working Conditions:
