Compliance Analyst - Audit Role

The Compliance Analyst - Audit is a critical member of the Internal Audit function within TEPHRA, responsible for providing assurance to the Board and the Audit Committee on the effectiveness of risk management, internal control, and governance processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the execution of the annual risk-based audit plan, ensuring audit effort is directed towards areas of greatest strategic and operational risk.
  • Assist in performance of annual risk assessments and creation of detailed audit programs and templates.
  • Develop and present audit results to multiple levels of the business, including senior management and the Audit Committees.
  • Liaise closely with external auditors to ensure maximum reliance on the work of Internal Audit.
  • Oversee and execute the planning, fieldwork, and reporting of audits per the audit plan strategy.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in internal audit, with a large part of that experience gained within the Life Insurance and Health Insurance sector.
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or CPA required; Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or PMP a plus.
  • Knowledge of Internal Audit professional standards and current corporate governance requirements.
  • Knowledge of SOX requirements and solid knowledge of the insurance and regulatory environment.
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in business or related field.
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills required.
Location and Reporting:

Cedar Rapids, IA preferred, but can also consider St. Petersburg, FL and Plano, TX. This position reports to the Head of Audit.
