MRI Technologist

As an MRI Technologist at Health First, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include operating MRI equipment, preparing patients for exams, and producing high-quality images. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment, adhering to all Federal, State, and Regional healthcare regulations, and participating in quality initiatives to improve departmental processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality/No Harm:
Ensure patient safety by verifying patient identification, performing time-out procedures, and adhering to ALARA principles of radiation safety. Maintain a clean and organized environment, and report any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department. Accurately complete all required documentation, and review exam orders from medical charts and/or prescriptions prior to performing an exam.
Stewardship:
Utilize supplies and equipment efficiently, and ensure computer data is accurately entered for each procedure. Demonstrate effective time management skills, and complete jobs/tasks in a timely and concise manner. Maintain flexibility and adapt to changes in workflow processes and the needs of the Health First organization.
Customer Experience:
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other Health First associates, using excellent customer relation skills at all times. Provide pre and post-procedure education to patients, and respond appropriately to patient/family concerns or complaints. Demonstrate sensitivity to patient privacy and dignity, and practice the 'I-CARE PROMISE' by introducing yourself, clarifying what you will be doing, asking if there are any questions, responding with information and concern, and going the extra mile.
