This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position at The University of Findlay. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical care for horses, livestock, and other animals at the University's farms.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide medical care for school program horses at the Western and English equestrian farms.
• Provide medical care for livestock at the Beckett Animal Science Center.
• Provide medical care for UF faculty and staff horses if requested.
• Provide medical care for any external clients identified by the University.
• Oversee controlled drug use within the practice.
• Provide emergency coverage for UF livestock and horses.
• Provide clinical rotation support for UF Pre-Vet students.
Requirements
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M. or V.M.D.) degree at an accredited college of veterinary medicine.
• Licensed veterinarian.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and veterinarian duties. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.

The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing.
