Job Summary

Albany Medical Center is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Computed Tomography Technologist, you will play a critical role in creating diagnostic images and providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical procedures and assist in the clinical evaluation and care of patients under the direction of the Medical Director and/or Section Head, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist.
  • Utilize specific modality to create diagnostic images and provide patients with a safe and positive experience.
  • Support teaching and continue learning as technology changes for both yourself and others.
  • Perform CT exams on outpatients, inpatients (both stable and those receiving intensive care), research patients, and those requiring specialized CT scan-guided procedures.
  • Practice and enforce radiation safety measures in accordance with New York State Department of Health code part 16.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School and a high school graduate (high school +1).
  • New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or possess a limited permit to practice in the State of New York.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
  • Entry Level: Limited or no experience; MIT Level assigned based on skill set and experience.
Schedule Information

Hours: Sunday-Wednesday 8:30pm-7am (Four 10-hour shifts). No on-call responsibilities required.
