Job Opportunity:

MaineGeneral Health seeks an Anesthesia Technician to support our team at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta.


This full-time role involves assisting licensed anesthesia providers in ensuring patient safety and support. Key responsibilities include equipment management, patient support, maintenance and troubleshooting, and room turnover.


Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in anesthesia or surgical services, is beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach are also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Management:
  • Cleaning and setting up all types of anesthesia equipment.

Patient Support:
  • Assisting with patient assessment, monitoring, transport, positioning, IV insertion, invasive lines, and airway management.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
  • Providing daily equipment maintenance and addressing malfunctions.

Room Turnover:
  • Facilitating efficient and safe room transitions.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) preferred.
  • 1 year or more, prior clinical experience preferred.
  • Anesthesia Technician Certification preferred.
  • Listed as active on the State of Maine CNA Registry preferred.
  • Basic analytical ability required to calibrate equipment.
  • Knowledge of sterile techniques.
