EMT-Paramedic

Eastland Memorial Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated EMT-Paramedic to join our Emergency Medical Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls and interfacility transfers, providing emergency medical care to patients, and communicating effectively with healthcare personnel and other emergency services personnel.

• Operate and maintain emergency vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition and equipped with necessary patient care equipment.
• Administer emergency medical care, adhering to established protocols and standards of care, and prioritizing patient and personal safety.
• Document patient care, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records to facilitate billing and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control guidelines and policies.
• Collaborate with other hospital departments, as needed, to ensure seamless patient care and support.

• Current and active Texas Department of State Health Services Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic certification or Licensed Paramedic.
• AHA-BLS, AHA-ACLS, and AHA-PALS certifications.
• Valid Driver's License and a driving record meeting insurability requirements.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities.

The duties of this position require intermittent periods of sitting, standing, and walking, as well as bending, stooping, and reaching. The lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying of patients with the use of equipment is required. Lifting in excess of 150 pounds, with assistance, may be required. The work environment may be subject to extreme weather conditions and emergency situations.

• Perform duties within the hospital, as needed, to facilitate patient care.
• Assist in other hospital departments, under the direction and supervision of personnel in these departments.

• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard patient/hospital-related information at all times.
• Demonstrate behaviors that promote positive customer relations with staff, patients, and visitors.
• Report to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
