Pediatric RN Position at Memorial Health University Medical Center

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Specialty Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at Memorial Health University Medical Center. As a Pediatric RN, you will provide high-quality patient care to children and their families, working collaboratively with our clinical medical providers to empower patients to make informed decisions about their healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient-centered care: Assess, evaluate, plan, implement, and coordinate treatment plans to achieve the goals of the nursing department.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers: Work with clinical medical providers to empower children and their families to make informed decisions about their healthcare, including health promotion and prevention of disease or complications.
- Education and patient engagement: Provide education to patients and/or parents/guardians in a manner that the recipient understands, contributing to positive patient care outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Communication and referrals: Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when needed.
Requirements:
- Nursing degree: Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing, with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
- Certifications: Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required. A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Health Care Provider certification is preferred and required to be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer date.
- Experience: Prior acute care Registered Nurse experience with pediatric patients is preferred.
