Job Summary

The Senior Accountant is a key member of our accounting team, responsible for providing financial expertise and support to multiple mid-sized entities. This role requires a high level of technical knowledge, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and record month-end journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Manage and monitor entity-level cash flow, including processing loan draw requests with lenders.
  • Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist business partners with the review of entity-level reports and provide ad-hoc reports as requested.
  • Monthly budget review and analysis, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Ensure accounting transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP.
  • Monitor and reconcile all balance sheet accounts in a timely manner.
  • Involvement with maintenance of partner capital accounts.
  • Review and prepare monthly financial reporting packages.
  • Assist with financial workpaper support for auditors.
  • Assist with various regulatory/compliance requirements.

Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Accounting.
  • Basic understanding of general ledger activity, experience with MRI Software a plus.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Experience with tax accounting preferred.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to interact with staff at all levels and personality types in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while following through on issues in a timely manner.
  • Ability to understand and interpret specific legal agreements.
  • Attention to detail is a must.

Compensation

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For Providence, RI, this ranges from $85,400.00-$100,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
