LVN - Primary Care Float Pool Nurse - Sharp Healthplan

We are seeking a skilled LVN to join our Primary Care Float Pool team at Sharp Healthplan. As a Float Pool LVN, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients in various clinical settings.
Responsibilities- Assist patients, staff, and physicians in maintaining a high level of efficiency and customer service while providing quality care to a designated patient population.
- Administer medications safely and accurately per guidelines and written order, ensuring verification by a licensed person and documentation of all medications administered.
- Prepare patients for examination or procedure, obtain complete and accurate consent for procedures/surgery, and prepare and label biopsies in a thorough and accurate manner.
- Accurately document patient care per protocol and partner with physicians to continuously learn and expand clinical knowledge base.
- Provide specific educational material and individual teaching to patients, use universal precautions, and demonstrate knowledge of infection control policies and procedures.
- Assist with front desk responsibilities, including scheduling and telephone management, and act as a positive role model and ensure appropriate service delivery.
- Participate in clinical projects as directed by the physician or manager and maintain department efficiency and effectiveness.
- California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - CA Board of Vocational Nursing & Psychiatric Technicians - REQUIRED
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association - REQUIRED
- 1 Year LVN experience in related clinical area - PREFERRED
- Ambulatory care experience - PREFERRED
- ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American Heart Association - PREFERRED
- IV Certification (NPTA Sterile Product Certification) - Various-Employee provides certificate - PREFERRED
This is a float pool position that services the following Sharp Rees- Stealy locations: Chula Vista, La Mesa, Otay, and Santee.
