Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Android Software Engineer to join our mobile apps team at Verily. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and launching critical user-facing features in our flagship consumer product.

Our team is passionate about advancing precision health by bridging the gap between research and care. We are looking for a talented engineer who can collaborate extensively across teams to deliver high-quality, regulated, and impactful software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement user-facing features in our Android app
  • Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical discussions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software
  • Align with iOS engineers to ensure cross-platform consistency
Requirements
  • Strong CS fundamentals with a BS Computer Science degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in developing Android mobile applications
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Native app development experience in Kotlin
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of modern Android frameworks and architecture
  • Passionate about UX with a high empathy for users
  • Familiarity with automated testing
  • Experience with full-stack development, including backend services and web frontends
