About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead / Only Front End to Full Stack Engineer / Web Developer to join our team at Skyrocket Ventures. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications that meet the needs of our users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical ownership of a high traffic website with over 10 million monthly users
  • Working with a tech stack of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, and a front end framework of your choice
  • Ideal 70-80% front end, could be up to 100% front end
  • Spending about 30% of time on SEO
  • Independently designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications
  • Improving maintainability

Requirements:

  • Agnostic about what technologies you use, selecting what is best for the job
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar role in the consumer web space
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
  • Passionate about creating intelligent solutions to complex problems
  • An owner's mindset, able to thrive with little to no direction and project management
  • Experience with SEO
  • Strong in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a modern web framework (e.g., React, Angular, or )
  • Strong understanding of web development best practices and design patterns
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members

Nice to Have:

  • Golang, kubernetes, WebGL
  • Skilled in front end performance tuning to make pages load quickly
