Job Summary

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver - CDL A - Solo Routes, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently across the country.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Compliance: Adhere to all relevant federal and state laws, regulations, and agency guidelines.
  • Safety First: Detect and eliminate safety hazards, maintaining accurate records and logs throughout your journey.
  • Loading and Unloading: Carefully load and unload freight, or assist in the process as required by the customer.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other duties as assigned by Ryder System.

Requirements

  • Age: Be at least 21 years old.
  • Pass Background Checks: Clear Ryder's background and motor vehicle checks, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
  • CDL Requirements: Possess a valid Class A CDL and necessary endorsements for the position.
  • Experience: Have verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle, with at least 9 months experience within the past 3 years, or 2 years experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years experience within the last 10 years.
  • Communication Skills: Possess the ability to follow written and/or oral instructions, and read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.

  • Schedule: Enjoy a Monday to Friday schedule, with no weekends.
  • Pay: Earn $1695 or more per week, with the possibility of additional pay for solo miles, stops, and per diem.
