Patient Care Technician

Lutheran Hospital is seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff.
Job Summary:The Patient Care Technician will assist the nursing staff in providing patient care, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and performing various delegated tasks related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living.
Responsibilities:- Assist with patient activities of daily living, including meals, bathing, oral care, grooming, and elimination.
- Obtain and record patient information, including vital signs, height and weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, intake and output, calorie counts, and other patient data.
- Assist with patient mobility, including positioning, repositioning, dangling, and ambulating patients.
- Collect specimens and perform other delegated tasks as needed.
- Engage in evidence-based best practices to enhance the patient experience.
- Comply with hospital policies and procedures, as well as State Board of Nursing rules for unlicensed personnel.
- Preferred Education: High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
- Required Experience: None
- Preferred Experience: 1+ years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing Program
- Required License/Certification: None
- Preferred Experience: Certified Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Tech
- Required Certification: Basic Life Support obtained within 30 days of start date
