About the Role

April Quest is seeking a skilled and driven Power Systems Electrical Engineer to become part of their expanding Power & Energy business unit.

In this role, you will focus on the analysis, design and optimization of power systems, including switchgear, PDUs and panel boards for distribution infrastructure.

You will ensure reliable and efficient operation, with a strong emphasis on adhering to industry standards and safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years experience in power system engineering for industrial or commercial projects.
  • In depth knowledge of power system theory, including principles of power generation, transmission, distribution and utilization.
  • Skilled in using power system analysis software such as PSCAD, PSS/E or ETAP.
  • Capable of performing short-circuit calculations and applying protective device coordination techniques.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including UL1558, UL891, UL67, UL845 and UL508A.
