EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a licensed Registered Nurse, having graduated from an accredited nursing program, with a current license to practice in good standing.
- Preferred: Two years of experience in geriatric or long-term care nursing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physical:
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods, bend, twist, and reach.
- Coordination sufficient for administering injections and managing medical equipment.
- Ability to push/pull medication carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Clear verbal communication adaptable for the hearing impaired.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
Sensory:
- Able to hear normal sounds and voice patterns amidst background noise.
- Capable of detecting lung, bowel, and blood pressure sounds using diagnostic tools.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Capable of assessing changes in patient conditions.
- Able to detect odors related to patient care.
Cognitive:
- Able to remember multiple tasks over extended periods.
- Capable of recalling data from assessments and documenting necessary information.
- Able to focus on details despite interruptions.
