EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Must be a licensed Registered Nurse, having graduated from an accredited nursing program, with a current license to practice in good standing.
  2. Preferred: Two years of experience in geriatric or long-term care nursing.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Physical:

  1. Ability to stand and sit for extended periods, bend, twist, and reach.
  2. Coordination sufficient for administering injections and managing medical equipment.
  3. Ability to push/pull medication carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
  4. Clear verbal communication adaptable for the hearing impaired.
  5. Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.

Sensory:

  1. Able to hear normal sounds and voice patterns amidst background noise.
  2. Capable of detecting lung, bowel, and blood pressure sounds using diagnostic tools.
  3. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
  4. Capable of assessing changes in patient conditions.
  5. Able to detect odors related to patient care.

Cognitive:

  1. Able to remember multiple tasks over extended periods.
  2. Capable of recalling data from assessments and documenting necessary information.
  3. Able to focus on details despite interruptions.
