Overview:
A highly motivated and experienced Network Systems Engineer is required to design and build high-speed network infrastructure for Amazon's internal development labs. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in optics, cabling, and networking switch configuration, as well as excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

About the Role:
This role involves building and operating lab infrastructure, managing work and priorities through ticketing systems, collaborating with stakeholders to remove project obstacles, and maintaining lab equipment inventories. The successful candidate will be a key member of the AWS Network Product Development (NPD) team, responsible for developing technologies that enable interconnect solutions for customers while establishing supply diversity, driving down cost, and raising the performance bar of links in the fleet.

Responsibilities:
- Support team procurement needs and manage PR/PO, shipping, and receiving end-to-end
- Set up network devices, test equipment, and optics in the lab per engineer's requirements
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles and drive operations and lab processes for smooth customer experience
- Manage work and priorities through ticketing system/email/slack to complete internal customer requests

Requirements:
- 3+ years of industry experience as a network technician or supporting engineer in a highly dynamic environment;
- 1+ years hands-on experience with handling optical modules and cabling infrastructure (patch cord and panel);
- Experience with TCP/IP networking and/or network equipment development and testing;
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of equipment;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;,
- Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role;

Benefits:
The base pay for this position ranges from $50,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $111,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
