Histotechnologist Specialist

Fairview Health Services is seeking a skilled Histotechnologist to join our team at M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - West Bank. As a key member of our Anatomic Pathology team, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality slides for microscopic evaluation.
Key Responsibilities- Follow standardized procedures to create slides for microscopic evaluation using routine histology and advanced staining techniques.
- Adhere to system standards to ensure regulatory requirements are met and patient safety is prioritized.
- Use education and experience to troubleshoot failed stains and instrument issues, escalating appropriately as needed.
- Participate in process improvement projects, working toward meeting department goals, and ongoing responsibilities related to lab safety, regulatory compliance, lab supplies, or training students as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in a related laboratory field, including the related lab practicum or equivalent routes as specified in CLIA'88.
- Possess or be eligible to receive appropriate HHS-approved laboratory certification, HTL (ASCP). If not certified at the time of hire, must obtain certification within 1 year of eligibility/hire.
- Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Histology/Pathology and 1-3 years of experience in histology routine work and IHC special stains.
