Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and documenting an ongoing program of activities designed to meet the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident. This includes personal contact with a varying resident population and a varied work schedule that may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with developing and implementing a program that improves or maintains the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of residents.
- Develop and implement activities plans for each resident, including documentation of the plan.
- Assist with nourishments and transportation to meal service areas, and provide snacks within the resident's diet plan.
- Follow established performance standards and perform duties according to policies and procedures.
- Observe all facility safety, infection control policies and procedures, and maintain confidentiality of resident information.
- Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in Florida.
- Valid CPR card from the American Heart Association.
- Valid Florida driver's license.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competent computer skills.
- Experience with therapeutic recreation programs and activities.
- Experience in a long-term care environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
