Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machining Technician to join our team at Wise Staffing. As an Assembly Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating conventional, special-purpose, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic parts
  • Fabricate and assemble machined parts into complete units
  • Apply knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials, and layout techniques
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions
  • Assist in ordering, receiving, and storing material and supplies
  • Maintain dimensional logs for all work and jobs that go across their machines
Requirements
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • One year of technical school or five years of machining experience
  • Completion of four-year apprentice program in a Machining
  • Proficiency in precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.
  • Able to read and interpret complicated drawings
  • Able to operate overhead and jib cranes
  • Able to solve complex technical problems with limited direction
