As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating various drills, drilling overburden, parting, and coal in preparation for loading of holes with explosives.
Key Responsibilities- Operate various drills in a surface mining operation, ensuring safe and efficient drilling practices.
- Drill overburden, parting, and coal in preparation for loading of holes with explosives.
- Assist powder persons in loading of drill holes as necessary.
- Inspect equipment before operating and ensure it is in safe, operable condition.
- Comply with federal and state regulatory requirements and company policies for the mine to meet its budgeted goals in safety, cost, productivity, and environmental requirements.
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current Wyoming blasters certification in surface mining operations.
- One to three years of drilling experience.
