Position Overview:


The University of California, Irvine (UCI) is a leading institution recognized for its academic excellence and innovative research. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Hospital Medicine team.

This role is pivotal in delivering comprehensive patient care within the Department of Medicine, specifically in the Division of Hospital Medicine & Palliative Medicine. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and collaborative professional, committed to enhancing patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

As an Advanced Practice Provider, your duties will include:


- Managing a variety of patient conditions, including chronic and acute cases, in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and effective treatment plans.

- Conducting thorough patient assessments and developing individualized care strategies.

- Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.

- Maintaining compliance with all regulatory and institutional policies related to patient care.


Patient Population:
Adult patients requiring hospital-based medical care.

Qualifications:


To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A comprehensive understanding of internal medicine principles.
  • Proficiency in conducting medical histories and physical examinations.
  • Experience with standard protocols relevant to Hospital Medicine.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective working relationships.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in California.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).


Preferred qualifications include multilingual capabilities and experience in a similar healthcare setting.
