Position Summary:
The Dietary Cook is responsible for the preparation and cooking of nutritious meals tailored for patients, while upholding stringent safety and hygiene standards within the kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete meal production documentation and monitor food temperature compliance
  • Adhere to the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) Safety Manual
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of kitchen equipment
  • Accurately prepare all meals and assist during special events
  • Supervise kitchen operations in the absence of the manager
  • Ensure proper meal preparation and delivery
  • Implement sanitation and safety protocols
  • Prepare meals according to special dietary requirements as necessary
  • Address food-related concerns from patients and staff
  • Assist with meal delivery and staffing as needed
  • Perform additional assigned tasks as required
Qualifications:

Education Requirements:
  • High School diploma is mandatory
  • Culinary School diploma is preferred
Experience Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years in institutional or commercial food service is preferred
Licensure and Certification:
  • Food Handler Manager Certification is preferred
  • Current tuberculosis screening is required
  • Must obtain necessary certifications within 30 days of employment
