The Development Assistant provides critical support to Major Gift Officers, Directors of Development, and other development staff in advancing the overall development and alumni-related functions at Penn State University.
Key Responsibilities- Engage in prospect and project management, collecting and compiling data to inform development strategies.
- Provide administrative support, serving as a liaison between the unit and central DDAR, and assisting in identifying and cultivating potential donors.
- Collaborate with development staff, committee volunteers, and other stakeholders to maximize fundraising efforts and success.
- Prepare, provide, and review various reports for Major Gift Officers and Directors of Development, ensuring donor tracking and participation.
- Support annual fund-raising goals and functions of the unit, assisting with annual planning and providing administrative support for travel.
- Coordinate outreach and special events, creating and preparing data and reports as needed.
- Develop and distribute development marketing and promotional materials, such as newsletters.
- Participate in the management of portfolios of major gift prospects, inputting updates and maintaining donor records.
This position requires a High School Diploma or higher, plus 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
