We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team at Sonesta International Hotels. As a Room Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our guest rooms, delivering exceptional service, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver exceptional service to our guests, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, and removing trash.
- Notify your supervisor when service is completed, so rooms may be sold or occupied, and report any rooms unable to be serviced according to established procedures.
- Monitor laundry supplies and equipment to ensure they are sufficient and in working order, and operate washers and dryers according to hotel standards and manufacturers' guidelines.
- Minimize waste of supplies and amenities within all areas of housekeeping, and report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
- Handle all lost and found items according to established procedures, and promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other shifts and departmental management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding health and safety services, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Some previous housekeeping experience is preferred, and previous background from the extended stay industry is also beneficial.
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English is preferred, and other languages are beneficial.
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical abilities are required, and you must be able to frequently stand up, bend, climb, kneel, and move about the facility.
- You will be required to regularly use commercial cleaning chemicals, and you must be able to carry, lift, or pull items weighing up to 75 pounds.
- You will be required to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
