Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team at UTHealth Houston. As a facilities operations specialist, you will be responsible for performing general carpentry work in alteration, repair, and maintenance of buildings, floors, roofs, stairways, partitions, doors, windows, screens, scaffolding forms, wood fixtures, and furniture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Builds cabinets of various sizes and designs, builds tables, doors, shelves, bookcases, and a wide variety of specialized laboratory articles of wood.
- Performs skills bench work in shop, hands doors and windows, lay linoleum and tile floors.
- Makes estimates of time and material required for assigned tasks.
Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent and completion of trade school.
- Five (5) years of journeyman level carpentry experience.
