Position Overview:

The Patient Service Representative plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for patients and visitors. This position involves greeting, guiding, and scheduling patients while performing essential clerical tasks for healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and assist patients and visitors with a friendly demeanor.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and physician calendars efficiently.
  • Handle incoming calls, relay messages, and coordinate communications for staff.
  • Input and maintain patient information accurately in the system.
  • Facilitate the collection of patient payments and establish payment plans.
  • Provide information regarding insurance claims, medical records, and referrals.

In this role, a compassionate and professional approach is essential when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues. The representative is expected to perform related duties as assigned while adhering to all organizational policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Experience: At least one year of relevant experience in a medical office setting is preferred. New hires must complete the Clinic Core Front Desk Training.

Advancement Opportunities: Current Patient Service Representatives may progress to an Advanced title upon completion of required competencies.
