Position Overview:
The Production Assembler is responsible for assembling printed circuit boards, electronic components, subassemblies, and systems utilizing various materials, tools, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute assigned tasks following manufacturing process instructions (MPIs), production drawings, sample assemblies, and verbal directives.
2. Complete work within established labor standards, production schedules, and quality objectives.
3. Adhere to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protocols and ensure compliance with material handling procedures.
4. Understand and meet established performance metrics that align with corporate goals.
5. Perform complex assembly tasks as per manufacturing guidelines and customer specifications.
Machine Operation Duties:
1. Properly set up and operate all machinery according to setup instructions.
2. Conduct data entry and manage change-over and tear down processes.
3. Carry out routine maintenance on machinery and maintain accurate production logs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, or 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in identifying components for both PTH and SMT assemblies, including polarity.
- Familiarity with calibrated tools for assembly and measurement, such as pneumatic power tools and torque drivers.
- Soldering skills for through-hole tasks and surface mount components.
- Knowledge of IPC A-610 specifications and rework techniques for PTH assemblies.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and information retrieval.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing.
Compensation:
The anticipated starting pay for this position ranges from $22 to $23 per hour. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits and performance-based bonuses.
