As a dedicated senior care companion, you will have the opportunity to work on your own schedule, with no shift minimums, and access a portal of potential new employers through our mobile app. You will also receive payment the next business day when you excel on a shift, allowing you to have more control over your finances.

Here's how it works: after you download our super-cool app, we will verify some simple information about you, including your contact details, nurse/caregiver license information, and credentials. Once verified, you will be able to browse available opportunities and choose the ones that suit you best. If you're selected for a shift, you'll receive a notification and can choose to accept or decline. Simple

We're looking for dedicated caregivers who can provide emotional and social support to residents, assist with activities of daily living, and maintain a positive and professional demeanor towards residents, visitors, families, and co-workers. Some of the key responsibilities of our senior care companions include:

  • Providing assistance with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, laundry, and other activities of daily living.
  • Following the schedule of resident's needs set out by supervisor.
  • Providing emotional and social support to residents.
  • Supporting the dining staff and possibly assisting in the dining room.
  • Being comfortable with emergency equipment and procedures.
  • Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor towards residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.

To qualify for KARE, you'll need:

  • A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A CNA license required.
  • Ability to lift at least 51 lbs on a regular basis and physically able to help residents who require physical assistance.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • May require experience with caring for residents with memory impairment if assigned to memory care areas of the community.
  • Pass state compliance background and abuse checks.
