POSITION SUMMARY:
  • Oversees the implementation of NSS policies and procedures for managing equipment calibration, maintenance, and physical inventory of assets.
  • Tracks asset lifecycle, inventory levels, locations, and maintenance status, including photographing equipment for identification and record-keeping.
  • Establishes and maintains detailed records for each asset.
  • Coordinates the processes and documentation necessary for the acquisition, disposal, replacement, and tracking of lost assets.
  • Collaborates with vendors and other departments to ensure accurate and comprehensive asset data.
  • Acts as a liaison with the Government property administrator and plant clearance officer.
  • Facilitates the closeout and transfer of Government property.
  • The responsibilities outlined above serve as a general illustration of the types of work that may be performed. Specific duties not included do not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or may also include other tasks assigned by Management.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE: No prior experience required. Training will be provided.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, etc.) is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in problem-solving.
  • Effective time management abilities.
  • A willingness to learn.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Familiarity with various testing equipment for RF and digital electronics. Experience in maintaining Government and customer-owned property. Background in inventory and/or asset management.
