We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Prysmian Group. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our cables meets customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Quality Inspections: Conduct power and final customer tests to ensure cables meet customer specifications by product design prior to shipment.
- Inspect and Test Cables: Inspect coated and uncoated wire for conductor resistance, diameter, and length, and measure wire, insulation, and insulation shield to customer standards.
- Packaging and Shipping: Package cables per customer requests and ensure they are properly labeled and prepared for shipment.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate with departments about quality concerns and work collaboratively with team members to resolve issues.
- Education: High School/GED Diploma
- Experience: Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required
- Skills: Ability to use hand/power tools, cable cutters, and utility knives to prepare cable ends for testing, and ability to learn to use and troubleshoot electronic measuring equipment for conductor resistance measurement.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand 8-12 hours on concrete floors, and move reels weighing 500-20,000 lbs with assistance or reel movers.
- Safety Requirements: Safety shoes and glasses required when working in production areas, hearing protection required in posted areas, and ability to bend/stoop to floor level up to 50 times per 8-hour shift.
