Job Summary

The Lead Nurse Coordinator (LNC) plays a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care within the acute care unit. Reporting to the Unit Manager, the LNC oversees nursing operations, coordinates staff activities, and fosters an environment of teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Admission and Discharge Processes: Facilitate efficient throughput by assisting with admission and discharge procedures, guaranteeing seamless transitions for patients.
  • Clinical Oversight: Participate in ongoing assessments of quality patient care services provided in the unit, collaborating with management to drive continuous improvement.
  • Staff Development: Support a culture of excellence by providing guidance, training, and coaching to enhance staff performance and competence.
  • Operational Efficiency: Assist with scheduling, inventory control, and supply management to optimize resource utilization and minimize waste.

Qualifications

To be successful as a Lead Nurse Coordinator, you will need:

  • A current Florida Registered Nurse license
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Estimated salary: $83,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
