Key Responsibilities:

As a Healthcare Support Specialist at Fast Pace Health, you will deliver both clinical and administrative assistance essential for effective patient care under the direct supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant. Your role will involve:

  • Upholding compliance with Federal and State regulations, including a solid understanding of health information management issues such as HIPAA.
  • Preparing examination and treatment areas for patient intake.
  • Triage patients by measuring vital signs, performing blood draws, and administering injections.
  • Monitoring patients, documenting, and reporting any changes in their conditions, including adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
  • Conducting federal and non-federal DOT, BAT, and Drug Screen examinations.
  • Assisting with laboratory testing and phlebotomy.
  • Maintaining supplies and equipment for treatment, and assisting providers in preparing for minor procedures and physical examinations.
  • Supporting patients through Virtual Medicine Providers.
  • Coordinating referrals to specialists and obtaining pre-authorizations as directed by the Provider.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate completion of patient charts and forwarding them as necessary.
  • Maintaining the overall cleanliness of the office to support a professional environment.
  • Delivering clinical and administrative support while adhering to all company policies and procedures.

  • Fostering positive relationships with clients and colleagues to maintain a constructive work atmosphere.
  • Upholding confidentiality and compliance with company standards.
  • Completing all mandatory compliance training.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management.
Additional Requirements:

For those in Centers of Excellence:

  • Complete all required preceptor training to effectively onboard and train new hires.
  • Collaborate with Learning and Development to manage the onboarding and training of new employees.
  • Welcome new employees on their first day, providing facility tours and an overview of clinic processes.
  • Work with Learning and Development to establish training plans and schedules for new hires.
  • Submit weekly evaluations on trainee progress to Learning and Development.
  • Complete final evaluations and submit proof of proficiency on the last training day.
Experience Requirements:

Medical Assistant: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinic setting, preferably in Urgent Care.

Nurse (LPN or RN): Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinic setting, preferably in Urgent Care.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or its equivalent.
