Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our Systems Engineering team, you will be responsible for the successful design and implementation of aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform system architecture and design activities to develop systems meeting customer needs.
  • Decompose customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and component requirements.
  • Generate verification criteria and plans for the requirements.
  • Coordinate across functional teams to develop methods of compliance, predicted compliance, qualification plans, and functional test procedures.
  • Collaborate with safety and certification teams to support system and product qualification.
  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analysis, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of RTCA DO-160, DO-178, and DO-254 certification aspects.
  • Understanding of International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) methods of systems engineering and requirements management.
  • Model Based System Engineering (MBSE).
  • Working knowledge of DOORS or equivalent requirements management tool.
  • Experience working in the aerospace industry and in particular SAE ARP4754, Guidelines for Development of Civil Aircraft and Systems.
